It was a teacher vs. teacher showdown at Copiague Middle School when the faculty from Susan E. Wiley Elementary School took on the faculty from Deauville Gardens East Elementary School for volleyball matches on Jan. 12.
The games were a fundraising effort for the Parent Teacher Associations and fifth-grade committees at both schools. Students and student athletes from Susan E. Wiley and Deauville Gardens East came out to support and cheer on their teachers. In all, the fundraising efforts yielded close to $300 for each school.
